You experience problems in Outlook Web Access for Exchange 2007 after daylight saving time (DST) starts in New Zealand in 2007

SYMPTOMS

After daylight saving time (DST) starts in New Zealand in 2007, you experience one or more of the following symptoms in a mail environment that uses Microsoft Exchange Server 2007:

  • The Microsoft Office Outlook client incorrectly translates times from other time zones to the New Zealand time zone.
  • The Outlook client incorrectly translates times from the New Zealand time zone to other time zones.
  • The Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access client incorrectly calculates the end time of a meeting.
  • Lotus Notes incorrectly calculates the end time of a meeting.


RESOLUTION

The New Zealand government announced that the DST dates have changed for 2007 as follows.

DST 2007 Previous years
Start date and time Last Sunday in September, 2:00 A.M. First Sunday in October, 2:00 A.M.
End date and time First Sunday in April, 3:00 A.M. Third Sunday in March, 3:00 A.M.
