APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Office Communicator 2005
SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Office Communicator 2005:
- There are three participants: User A, User B, and User C. User A is a Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 client. User B and User C are Communicator 2005 clients.
- User A initiates a conversation with User B.
- User B invites User C to join the conversation by using Multiparty IM (MIM).
In this scenario, when User C receives a message from User B, both User A and User B are indicated as being the sender of the message instead of User B only. Therefore, the conversation history is cluttered and is difficult to read. It is difficult to determine who actually sent the message.
