The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
SYMPTOMS
When you use the Advanced Find feature to filter a resource group that is associated with some users in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, all users in the top level business unit are displayed. The resource group filter in the Advanced Find feature is ignored.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next service pack that contains this hotfix.

Installation information

If you are prompted, restart the computer after you install the hotfix.
Removal information
To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000.
The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the %Windir%\$NTUninstallKB936019$\Spuninst folder.

Steps to reproduce the problem
- Click Advanced Find.
- In the Look for field, select Users.
- In the Use Saved View field, select [new].
- Point to Select, and then select Resource Groups in the Related list.
- Point to Select. Under Resource Groups, select Name in the Fields list.
- In the field next to Equals, type a resource group name that you want to filter.
- Click Find.
