SYMPTOMS
When you initiate Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) ping traffic from a computer to a remote computer by using TCP Tools TCPView Professional Edition, the ICMP ping traffic does not appear in the TCPView Professional Edition static view or the dynamic view. This problem also occurs when you initiate ICMP ping traffic from a remote computer to a computer.
Note TCP Tools is a component of Winternals Administrator's Pak.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because ICMP ping traffic is not supported in Administrator's Pak.
MORE INFORMATION
TCPView Professional Edition can show only TCP traffic and UDP traffic. TCPView Professional Edition cannot show ICMP ping traffic.
