Notice
Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2005 fix release.

SYMPTOMS
You cannot use Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition on an ARMV4i-based device that is running Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition is not supported on Windows CE .NET 4.2. The support is not included in the SQL Server Compact Edition Developer Software Development Kit (SDK).
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that this article describes. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

After you install these .cab files, the DLLs for SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition will have the file version of 3.0.5300.0
