Issue that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
You use the Use German post-reform rules option when you check the spelling of German-language text in an Office 2003 program. If a word contains a single vowel at the beginning of the word or at the end of the word, the word may unexpectedly be hyphenated at the single vowel.
For example, if the German-language text contains the word Abend, the word may unexpectedly be hyphenated as in the following example:
