You receive an error message after you log on to ProClarity Dashboard Server 6.1 by using an administrator credential

SYMPTOMS

After you log on to ProClarity Dashboard Server 6.1 by using an administrator credential, you receive the following error message:

An error has occurred and has been logged

Additionally, an event is logged in the Application event log. This event has a description that resembles the following:

Application Path: C:\Program Files\ProClarity\ProClarity Dashboard Server\
Machine name: ComputerName

Process information:
Process ID: 1284
Process name: w3wp.exe
Account name: NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE

Exception information:
Exception type: SqlException
Exception message: Invalid column name 'UserId'.

CAUSE

The original release version of ProClarity Dashboard Server 6.1 does not support case-sensitive SQL collations.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use either of the following methods:

  • Change the SQL collation of the dashboard database to a case-insensitive SQL collation. For more information, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
  • In the Users table, change the name of the UserID column to UserId.

Note We recommend that you use the first method.
