SYMPTOMS
The Ihvlink.lib library file is not included in the Microsoft Host Integration Server 2006 Software Development Kit (SDK).
CAUSE
The Ihvlink.lib library file was unintentionally omitted from the Host Integration Server 2006 SDK.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. The hotfix is a self-extracting .zip file that includes the 32-bit (x86) version of the Ihvlink.lib file and the 64-bit (x64) version of the Ihvlink.lib file. These files were omitted from the Host Integration Server 2006 SDK and from the BizTalk Adapters for Host Systems SDK. When you run the self-extracting .zip file, the following folder structure is created:
- IHVLINK\x86\ihvlink.lib
- IHVLINK\x64\ihvlink.lib
The Ihvlink.lib library file is the main library for the SNA Device Interface Specification (SNADIS) interface. This library file is one of several required files for building a Host Integration Server 2006 link service.
