Error message when you use the Aggregation Design Wizard in SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence Development Studio: "No mapping between account names and security IDs was done"

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft SQL Server 2005, when you use the Aggregation Design Wizard in SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence Development Studio to define aggregations, you receive the following error message:

The following system error occurred: No mapping between account names and security IDs was done.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because a user was deleted from the Active Directory directory service. However, the user had not previously been removed from its role in that database.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, remove the user representation from the member lists of all the database roles.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
