SYMPTOMS

The U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005, passed by the U.S. Congress in July of 2005, extended daylight saving time (DST) in the U.S. by approximately four weeks. Beginning in 2007, DST starts three weeks earlier, on the second Sunday in March at 2:00 AM. In 2007, DST begins on March 11. DST ends one week later than before, on the first Sunday of November at 2:00 AM. In 2007, DST will ends on November 4.

In Mexico, DST starts on the first Sunday in April at 2:00 AM. In 2007, DST begins on April 1. DST ends on the last Sunday of October at 2:00 AM. In 2007, DST ends on October 28.

Because of the change, the time zone settings and the system clock on a Windows CE .NET 4.1-based device may be incorrect during this four-week period. If time zone settings are incorrect, the clock may be off by one hour. Certain applications that run on a Windows CE .NET 4.1-based device may not display the correct time.
