Method 1. Assign a different keystroke to the Insert Paragraph Above Row command. To do this, a. Click Commands on the Tools menu. b. In the list of commands, select Insert Paragraph Above Row. c. Click the Add button. d. Type the keystroke that you would like to assign to this command, such as CONTROL+OPTION+COMMAND+SPACEBAR. e. Click Close. Method 2. Remove the "U.S.-System 6" keyboard layout: a. Open the keyboard control panel from the Control Panels folder. You may have 2 options: "U.S." or "U.S.-System 6" b. Quit all open applications. c. Select the "U.S." keyboard layout and close the keyboard control panel. d. Open the System Suitcase in the System folder. e. Drag the "U.S.-System 6" keyboard layout out of the System Suitcase. The keyboard shortcut will now work correctly in Word. You do not have to restart the Macintosh. |
