SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Microsoft Office Excel 2007 to obtain the value of a Border.LineStyle property, VBA returns an unexpected value. This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:

  • You try to obtain the value of a Border.LineStyle property from a chart object or from a shape object.
  • The chart object or shape object was created in an earlier version of Excel.
