APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services

SYMPTOMS

You cannot use properties to tell whether a Web site was created by using a Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Web project or whether it was created by using Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 2.0.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use the title property. If you create a Web project in Visual Studio .NET, Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 always treats it as an empty Web site. Therefore, the title property will be an empty string.

Note There is no guarantee that all other Web sites will not have an empty string ("") as a title.
