SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You create a scheduled task by using Desktop Standard PolicyMaker Standard Edition. The scheduled task starts a program that requires command-line switches. In this scenario, the scheduled task does not run.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because the scheduled task does not pass the program and the switches separately to the API that creates the scheduled task. Therefore, the scheduled task may be created incorrectly or may not be created.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, create a shortcut to the program. Next, incorporate the switches into the shortcut. Then, create a scheduled task that starts the shortcut.
