INTRODUCTION
Issue that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
You connect to a Windows SharePoint Services site by using a Web browser other than Microsoft Internet Explorer. When you do this, the content on certain Web pages in the site is not displayed as expected.
The symptoms that you experience depend on the Web browser that you are using and depend on the action that you perform. For example, when you apply a theme to a site, and then browse a Web page on the site, you experience one of the following symptoms:
- You receive the following error message:
- Content, such as images, is not displayed on the Web page.
- Raw HTML code is displayed instead of HTML.

Prerequisites
The following list contains prerequisites for the hotfix package:
- The full-file version of this hotfix is also the administrative version of this hotfix. You can install this version of the hotfix on a computer that is running Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 2 or Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 1. However, we have tested this hotfix more extensively on Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 2 than on Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 1. If you install this hotfix on a computer that is running Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 1, some file conflicts might occur. We support this configuration, but we do not recommend it.
Restart information
You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this hotfix.
Hotfix replacement information
This hotfix is not replaced by any later hotfix.
Registry information
You do not have to create any registry keys or modify any registry keys to use any hotfixes that this package contains.
