SYMPTOMS

After you hot plug a PCIe hot-pluggable device into a computer that is running an Itanium-based version of Microsoft Windows Server 2003, and then you restart the computer, you may receive a Stop error message that resembles the following error message:

STOP 0x000000A5(parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
ACPI_BIOS_ERROR

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

To apply this hotfix, the computer must be running an Itanium-based version of Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack (SP1).
