SYMPTOMS

Subscription services cannot extract metering data from some portable devices that support metering. This problem occurs when the services try to synchronize metering data on a client computer that is running the Microsoft Windows Media Format 11 Software Development Kit (SDK) on Microsoft Windows XP or on Windows Vista.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because a COM proxy interface uses an outdated definition.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install update 929399. To install this update, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
