SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You install ProClarity Analytics Server on a computer that is running the original version of Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Then, you install Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on the computer. A client tries to connect to the computer that is running ProClarity Analytics Server. In this scenario, the client receives one of the following error messages in the Web browser:

Error message 1

HTTP 500 browser error

Error message 2

error '8002801d' /LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT/PAS/global.asa, line 166

Note The client uses the following address to connect to the computer that is running ProClarity Analytic Server:

http://ServerName/PAS

Additionally, when you install ProClarity Analytics Server on a Windows Server 2003 SP1-based computer, you receive the following error message:

Failed to setup IIS information

This problem occurs on the following versions of ProClarity Analytics Server:

• ProClarity Analytics Server 5.3
• ProClarity Analytics Server 6.0

RESOLUTION

A maintenance release is available to resolve this problem. To obtain the maintenance release, contact Microsoft Customer Support Services.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
