INTRODUCTION
The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) version of Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 (Windows SBS) does not let you create a domain name that contains more than two levels. For example, the OEM version lets you create a domain name such as Example.com
. However, the OEM version does not let you create a domain name such as My.example.com
.
However, the original release version of Windows SBS 2003 lets you create a domain name that contains more than two levels. An example of such a domain name is My.example.com
. Therefore, we recommend that you create a two level domain name for the internal domain such as Example.com
when you install Windows SBS 2003. Additionally, the internal domain name should differ from the external domain name.
