The subform appears to be blank after you close a Filter by Form view without applying the filter in Access 2007

Article ID: 926956

Article Last Modified on 10/15/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Office Access 2007

SYMPTOMS

When you close a form in Microsoft Office Access 2007, the subform appears to be blank.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

  • You apply the Filter by Form view to a form that contains a subform.
  • You select a filter value for a control in the subform, and then you close the Filter by Form view without applying the filter.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the filter is applied to the form when the Filter by Form view is closed. This occurs even when you do not apply the filter. When this occurs, the Status bar does not indicate that the filter has been applied to the form.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
