SYMPTOMS

A Microsoft Windows Forms control cannot resize itself at run time if the following conditions are true:

  • You host a Windows Forms control in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  • You try to add code to resize the Windows Forms control at run time.
  • You use the Windows Forms control on a computer that is running the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

Note The Windows Forms control can resize itself when you are running the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 service pack that contains this hotfix.
