FIX: Error message when you try to use the Catalog Manager client to export a catalog to an XML file in Commerce Server 2007: "The number of elements in the select list exceeds the maximum allowed number of 4096 elements"

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the Catalog Manager client to export a catalog to an XML file in Microsoft Commerce Server 2007, you may receive the following error message:

line 0 : the number of elements in the selected list exceed the maximum allowed number of 4096 elements.

When this problem occurs, the following message may be logged in the event log: Event Type: Error

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
