  • Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003

Consider the following scenario:

  • You successfully install a Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 management point.
  • The computer name contains an underscore character (_).

In this scenario, SMS client computers cannot communicate with the SMS management point.

This problem occurs because the SignedSerialedKey registry value and the TrustedRootKey registry value on the SMS management point contain no information.
