SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You log on to a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP by using a standard user account. You start Windows Defender (Beta 2). You use Fast User Switching to log on to the computer by using the administrator user account. Then, you start Windows Defender (Beta 2). In this scenario, Windows Defender closes unexpectedly, and you receive an error message that resembles the following:
CAUSE
This error occurs if you use Fast User Switching to try to run Windows Defender (Beta 2) in a standard user account session and in an administrator user account session at the same time.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
