SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
- You run Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based server.
- Live Communications Server 2005 is configured to have the Access Proxy role.
In this scenario, a Live Communications Server 2005 peer server is unable to successfully authenticate with the access proxy by using Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificate-based authentication.
You experience this problem if the peer server presents a certificate that does not contain a Certificate Revocation List (CRL) distribution point (CDP).
Note One example of this kind of certificate is a thawte SSL 123 certificate.

To work around this problem, configure a full certificate to use with Live Communications Server 2005 TLS authentication.
