A registry setting is available to force Outlook 2007 to always start in safe mode. To configure this registry setting, follow these steps:
- Exit Outlook 2007.
- Start a text editor such as Notepad.
- Paste the following registry information into Notepad:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Resiliency] "ForceSafeMode"=dword:00000001
- Save the file as EnableOutlookSafeMode.reg, and then exit Notepad.
- Double-click the EnableOutlookSafeMode.reg file, and then click Yes when you are prompted to add this information to the registry.
- Restart the computer.
