INTRODUCTION

This article describes the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated August 8, 2006.

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • A custom form in Outlook 2003 tries to retrieve the list of required attendees from the Item_PropertyChange event after you remove one or more attendees from the list. However, the event returns the original list of attendees. This list includes any attendees that were previously removed from the list.
  • You add a group schedule to a calendar in Outlook 2003. Then, you click Refresh Free/Busy under Options in the group schedule dialog box. The existing free/busy entries in the group schedule become unavailable (dimmed). Additionally, the existing entries are not updated unless you change the Zoom value or click Save and Close and then reopen the group schedule.
  • When you receive an e-mail message that contains an attachment, the attachment is garbled. Additionally, the file name is displayed as the letter "P."

This issue occurs if Outlook 2003 uses a POP3 e-mail account to receive the incoming e-mail message and attachment.

  • If you try import a personal folder (.pst) file into a subfolder within the same .pst file, Outlook 2003 tries to import the .pst file recursively until Outlook 2003 closes unexpectedly.
