INTRODUCTION

This article describes the Office XP issue that is fixed in the hotfix package that is dated July 10, 2006.

Issue that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • You use an Office XP program on a computer that uses Microsoft Windows XP. You use Fast User Switching to change between different user sessions on the computer. When you do this, the Office XP program may stop responding. Additionally, you may receive one of the following error messages:
    • Not enough system resources to display completely

    • Microsoft program_name has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

  • The full-file version of this hotfix is also the administrative version of this hotfix. The full-file version of this hotfix is a post-Service Pack 3 hotfix. To install the hotfix, you must have Office XP Service Pack 3 installed.
