SYMPTOMS
When you try to import a customization into Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, you may receive the following error message:
Note In this error message, Number_A
and Number_B
represent the actual line and position numbers.
This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
- The customization includes an entity form that has a dependent field.
- The dependent field is required by an external non-event script.

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 2 and Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Professional Edition for Service Providers.

After you install this hotfix, delete the cache in Windows Internet Explorer. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Windows Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
- Use the appropriate method:
- In Windows Internet Explorer 7, click Delete in the Browsing history area, click Delete files in the Temporary Internet Files area, and then click Yes.
- In Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet files area, and then click OK.
