SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You use Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to connect a Microsoft Windows CE 5.0-based device to a desktop computer. You view the shared storage devices. In this scenario, the list of shared storage devices does not automatically update if a new storage device is available on the RDP client. For example, this behavior may occur when a CompactFlash card is inserted into the device. If you update the view on the desktop, the new device appears.

Restart requirement
After you apply this software update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu. You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
