SYMPTOMS
When you close a Microsoft SQL Server Data Transformation Services (DTS) package and then open another DTS package on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2-based computer, you receive the following error message:
Additionally, if you ignore the error message and continue to run the DTS package, the left menu in Microsoft Management Console (MMC) disappears. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
- You run more than 200 SQL Server DTS packages daily.
- You manage DTS packages on a computer that is also running SQL Server.
RESOLUTION
