SYMPTOMS

The DeliveredTo table in the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 mailbox store database may continue to grow. This behavior occurs even after you perform the following tasks:

  • You perform online maintenance.
  • You create space in the database.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the rate at which message entries are added to the DeliveredTo table is faster than the rate at which message entries are removed from the DeliveredTo table. A message entry is added to the DeliveredTo table every time that a message is delivered to the server.
