SYMPTOMS
You configure the PstDisableGrow registry value to prevent items from being added to a personal folders (.pst) file in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. These items are Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2007 items, Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 items, or Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services (2.0 and 3.0) items. When you do this, the SharePoint items may still be added to the .pst file that Outlook creates to store SharePoint data.
For example, when you use Outlook 2007 in Cached Exchange Mode to post an item to a SharePoint Internet Calendar folder or to a SharePoint Lists folder, the item is added to the SharePoint .pst file.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because of a limitation of the PstDisableGrow registry value. You cannot use the PstDisableGrow registry value to prevent SharePoint items from being added to the .pst file that Outlook creates to store SharePoint data.
