SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You configure a printer driver to print by using specific settings in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. You print an e-mail message to the printer, and the message is printed as expected. You also print an e-mail message to a different printer, and that e-mail message is printed as expected. Then, you print an e-mail message to the original printer. In this scenario, the specific printer driver settings that you configured for the original printer may be lost.

The following items are examples of printer driver settings that may be lost:

  • Private print settings that let you store a print job at the printer until a PIN is entered to release the print job
  • Paper tray settings that are unique to the specific printer
