APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Windows CE 5.0

SYMPTOMS

On a device that is running Microsoft Windows CE 5.0, a digital video recorder (DVR) MPEG-2 Program Stream Multiplexer parser receives corrupted I frames in a video stream. When this occurs, the DVR MPEG-2 Program Stream Multiplexer parser may record a file that has presentation time stamp (PTS) information that is not valid. For example, the file that is recorded may display an incorrect playback-duration time in Microsoft Windows Media Player or in other media applications.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the corrupted I frames in the video stream and the PTS cause the DVR engine library to provide a false PTS rollover adjustment.
