APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Office Outlook 2003
  • Microsoft Outlook 2002 Standard Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you try to open a custom form in a Terminal Server client session by using Microsoft Outlook 2002 or Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, you may receive the following message:

Microsoft Outlook cannot provide form scripting support. This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?

If you click Yes, the issue is resolved until you end the Terminal Server client session. However, the issue occurs again when you start a new Terminal Server client session.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if Microsoft Office was installed on the Terminal Server computer by using a third-party installation tool. Installation tools other than the Office installer may not finish all the installation actions that are required by the Office installation process.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reinstall Office on the Terminal Server computer by using a method other than the third-party tool that you used previously.
