SYMPTOMS
When you work with a large Microsoft Visual C++ .NET solution in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 on a computer that has a single, non-hyperthreaded processor, the Visual Studio 2005 IDE stops responding (hangs). This problem is more likely to occur when you open the solution, browse the solution by using the Class View, or perform any action that rebuilds the IntelliSense database .ncb file.
Note Other applications that are running on the computer, such as Microsoft Office Outlook or Microsoft Internet Explorer, may also stop responding.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the Visual C++ .NET IntelliSense thread in the Visual Studio 2005 IDE does not run at a low priority when you parse IntelliSense databases.
