SYMPTOMS

After you stop and start a Bluetooth wireless technology service several times on a Microsoft Windows CE 5.0-based device, the Bluetooth service no longer starts. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:

[ERR] [L2CAP] DisconnectPhysicalLink :: Call not matched!
[ERR] hci_call_aborted returns ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER (no context)

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the internal counters in the device are out of sync. These internal counters are not reset until you restart the device by using the soft boot method.

Prerequisites

This update is supported only if all previously issued updates for this product have also been installed.

Restart requirement

After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu. You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this update.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, restart the device by using the soft boot method.
