INTRODUCTION

You must not delete or rename .gfs files in Microsoft Office Groove 2007 or in Groove Virtual Office.

MORE INFORMATION

The .gfs file is a stub file that provides a point of contact between the original file contents and the Microsoft Windows file system for a file that is fetched by a member of a Groove File Sharing workspace.

If you delete the .gfs file or if you change the .gfs extension and then open the file, the file is likely to be irreparably damaged by the opening application. This damage makes the original file contents unavailable from either Groove or Windows.
