SYMPTOMS

When you debug a solution by using the IDE, the value of a specific local variable may not be displayed correctly in the Locals window in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003. This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:

  • The actual value of the local variable is correct.
  • Support for Managed Extensions for C++ is enabled in Visual Studio .NET 2003.

Note If you disable support for Managed Extensions for C++ in Visual Studio .NET 2003, this problem no longer occurs.

This problem occurs only in the debugger view. This problem occurs more frequently when you access a variable that is a member of the native array.
