SYMPTOMS
Microsoft Internet Explorer incorrectly spaces text when the text includes non-breaking space (NBSP) characters.
CAUSE
Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 QFE 051004_KB904259 included a change to optimize the display of TrueType fonts. This change introduced a bug in the ExtTextOut API. The bug causes the ExtTextOut API not to update the current horizontal position of the device context if the string contains only white space characters.
Internet Explorer breaks up a page into discrete blocks of text, depending on the HTML tags. If there is only white space between two tags, Internet Explorer will create a text string that contains only white space. Therefore, you will experience this problem.
