An update event does not trigger the callout function in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

SYMPTOMS

You create a callout function that is triggered by the update event on a record. When a workflow rule is created to update a record in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the update event does not trigger the callout function. Therefore, the callout function does not run.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

RESOLUTION
