SYMPTOMS

You use a MAPI application to handle e-mail messages in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2). When you do this, a call to the SaveChanges() function may fail if the e-mail message is digitally signed. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:

MAPI_E_NO_ACCESS (0x80070005)

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

Prerequisites

You must install Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) before you apply the hotfix.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply the hotfix. However, the Microsoft Exchange Information Store Service and all dependent services will be restarted.
