Article ID: 910208

Article Last Modified on 5/21/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 Service Pack 1

SYMPTOMS

When you log on to Microsoft Office Communicator Web Access, you receive the following warning message in Microsoft Internet Explorer:

This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you wish to display the nonsecure items?

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if you have a federated contact from another organization. When you view a federated contact in Communicator Web Access, you notice that Communicator Web Access obtains the Network of Origin icon for the contact by using HTTP. However, you access Microsoft Office Communicator Web Access by using secure HTTP (HTTPS). The warning message that is mentioned in the "Summary" section indicates that the page includes mixed content.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, add only contacts from an organization that uses HTTPS.
