SYMPTOMS
When you click Check Prerequisites on the Setup Tasks tab of the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 Setup Resources splash screen, the Check Prerequisites task returns the following error:
CAUSE
This problem occurs only when you run the stand-alone prerequisite-checking process in the slipstream version of MOM 2005 Service Pack 1. In this situation, incorrect parameters are passed to the prerequisite-checking process.
RESOLUTION
Instead of running the prerequisite-checking process as a separate, stand-alone option, run the MOM 2005 installation process. The MOM 2005 installation process passes the correct parameters to the prerequisite-checking process. If the prerequisites have been met, the prerequisite-checking process is completed successfully.
