SYMPTOMS
When you send messages between two computers that are running Microsoft Message Queuing 3.0, you may experience a decrease in the performance of Message Queuing 3.0. Messages accumulate in the outgoing queue of the sending computer until the session is renewed. The session usually requires up to 60 seconds to renew.
Note The re-establish connection time-out value was changed in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) from 5 to 60 seconds.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the established session is lost between the two computers that are running Message Queuing 3.0. A race condition causes Message Queuing 3.0 to close the connection.
RESOLUTION
Service pack information
