SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004, the context keyword TPNameOverride in the Transaction Integrator (TI) context array causes a single space to be sent to the host instead of the actual transaction program (TP) name. This problem is an issue when you use a TCP/IP-to-CICS connection on the mainframe. The call to the host program fails, and the following event is written to the application event log:
Notice that the event description shows the transid as a space instead of the TP name.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next service pack that contains this hotfix.
