SYMPTOMS

When you play back a WMV video file or an MPEG-4 video file in full-screen mode, the colors in the video may temporarily appear scrambled. This problem occurs if you play back the video file by using a Microsoft DirectShow-based media application on a device that is running Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2. This problem only occurs if you bring another full-screen application to the foreground and then switched the application to the background.

Note This problem does not occur on Microsoft Windows CE 5.0.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the DirectDraw graphics adaptor supports color space conversion in the hardware.
