SYMPTOMS
When you type a contact name in the Find box in the English version of Microsoft Office Communicator 2005, the contact cannot be found.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if the following conditions are true:
- The contact name contains double-byte character set (DBCS) characters, such as Japanese characters.
- The contact name is contained in a Microsoft Outlook 2000 contact list or in a Microsoft Outlook 2002 contact list.
RESOLUTION
This problem is fixed in the update for Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 that is dated July 29, 2005. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
