INTRODUCTION

This article describes the Excel 2002 issues that are fixed in the Excel 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that was released July 15, 2005, and then rereleased September 6, 2005.

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • You use a client program to extract data programmatically from an Excel worksheet. When you delay clicking to update the links in the Excel workbook, the Workbook_Open event in a Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro may not run.
  • You use a PivotTable on an Excel worksheet to filter data that is extracted from an Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) database. When you refresh the PivotTable, the filter criteria are lost. Additionally, you cannot reset the filter criteria.
